![]() Add that with a bit of a randomizer with the spin length, AND a slider to further adjust the length of spin, equals a more random and fair wheel in my opinion. So, if you know the timing just right, you can time when to hit stop to land on the space you want (or avoid.) With how I have it set up now, it's based off a code which rotates the whole wheel so that it will remain in the same spot it landed the next time you visit. The only problem with it, is that the wheel resets every time you start the spinning. The wheel is normally done by animations, as you have linked. Added warning pop-up to prevent accidental MAIN MENU click ![]() Click on the player's color to display their spinner. Added sound effect to wheel and option to turn it on or off Improved How To section to hopefully better explain how to use this template I have made some updates and fixes and attached it here as 4.1. Thanks for sharing.īy the way, with your programming skills, I bet you could come up with an awesome matching game. And again, the wheel spinning sound is definitely lacking.Īll in all, great job. I'll have to review this game a bit more before using it in class - but from what I can tell, everything looks great. It is easy to edit, which is a definite plus. The money counter works well - thumbs up. Speaking of the wheel, I'm not sure if it's necessary to have 3 different arrows for 3 different teams - it creates more confusion (for the teacher). There is another wheel game on this site and it really lacks in that department - students need to feel like they are in partial control of the wheel spin in order not to feel cheated when it hits bankrupt or negative points. In fact, that gave me an idea to make a different game altogether.īy the way, what is the purpose of the wheel with letters and stars? The good thing is, I can skip all of the areas I don't think are necessary with hyperlinks, so none of these are an issue.Īside from that, I really like that students can choose the strength of the spin. I'm not sure if 'toss up' round is necessary. It works well enough on one as well as two screens - though you are limited to 3 puzzles when using one screen (though I can add additional hyperlinks to remedy this problem). If you were to add that, it would definitely help to further enhance the game atmosphere. There is no sound when the wheel is spinning. Thanks!)ĮDIT: Updated version posted below, older attachment removed.ĮDIT: There is one major flaw - vowel O does not display when clicked. There may be some bugs I didn't catch after revising it from top to bottom. Check it out below, and let me know how it goes! (No, seriously. It still has all the same features as the older one, real time score keeping, sounds, and an all new look with new graphics. (Unless your puzzle has more than one letter in it, then you'll have to do that again and again several times.) If there's no more puzzle rounds, it will change to link you to the Final round.Įditing puzzle rounds are a breeze! All you have to do is select a square, type one letter IN CAPS, and then change the fill to white. The next button will tell you what type of round to expect next. I've gone back and revised one of the first templates I've made with VBA, Wheel of Fortune! It's more dynamic than the last version, allowing you to have as many puzzles and toss up rounds as you'd like, and in any order that you'd like. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions to further improve or come up with future games. For the most up-to-date versions, visit my site: These were created with 2013, and have been told work well with 2016. There is a problem with how 2010 reads the timer code and could cause your PowerPoint to freeze. Note: Some templates may not work well with the 2010 version of PowerPoint. Ever see PowerPoint call out Bingo numbers, or generate Bingo cards, or even let you play Plinko? I use macros to do cool things like keeping scores, customizing names, and other neat things VBA programming can do. I'd like to share my games with everyone who frequents here. Hello all! I'm new to these forums but not to PowerPoint games.
